PLESK – Table ‘mysql.servers’ doesn’t exist [SOLVED]

If you have plesk-based hosting sometimes you get very scary errors which look like your server is gone and your quite a dozen of sites are totally dead.

The “funny” error

Table 'mysql.servers' doesn't exist

shows up after you have upgraded mysql through the atomic repo with yum and now you cannot create user databases under domains.

All you have to do is to create a table under mysql database.

# go with ssh to your server
ssh your_user@your_server.com
mysql -u admin -p
# normally it will require the same password as plesk login
# select "mysql" database
mysql >use mysql;

Execute the below code. You are done.

CREATE TABLE servers (
Server_name char(64) NOT NULL,
Host char(64) NOT NULL,
Db char(64) NOT NULL,
Username char(64) NOT NULL,
Password char(64) NOT NULL,
Port int(4) DEFAULT NULL,
Socket char(64) DEFAULT NULL,
Wrapper char(64) NOT NULL,
Owner char(64) NOT NULL,
PRIMARY KEY (Server_name)

plesk really sucks, people, will surely change it for something else.
